1. How It Works
- In the Collections sidebar tab, locate any endpoint.
- Right-click the endpoint and select
Generate AI Tests. - Quixa’s backend AI engine parses:
- The OpenAPI/Swagger path parameters, query parameters, and JSON schemas.
- Required vs. optional fields, regex validations, and enum values.
- Documented HTTP response codes (
200 OK,400 Bad Request,401 Unauthorized,404 Not Found).
2. Generated Scenario Archetypes
The AI generator produces a balanced test suite covering multiple validation angles:- Happy Path (200 / 201): Valid input payloads with all required and optional attributes populated with realistic synthetic data.
- Missing Required Fields (400 Bad Request): Systematically tests payload omission to ensure backend schema validation rejects bad requests.
- Malformed Data & Boundary Values (422 Unprocessable): Out-of-bounds numbers, invalid regex patterns, and string length boundary violations.
- Unauthorized Access (401 / 403): Validates that missing or corrupted authorization headers trigger proper security responses.
3. Dedicated Tests Section & Folder Mirroring
When you select scenarios to save:- They are saved as
[TEST]flows in a dedicated Tests section of the sidebar (isolated from your primary business flows). - Deep Folder Mirroring: Flows are automatically organized into structured folders matching the collection hierarchy:
- Test flows can be run individually or bundled directly into automated Test Suites.
