# Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

> Drive Quixa directly from Cursor, VS Code, and Claude Desktop using native MCP tools.

Quixa is the industry's first **MCP-Native API Orchestration Platform**. Through its official .NET 9 **Model Context Protocol (`quixa-mcp`) Server**, AI coding assistants like **Cursor**, **VS Code (Copilot)**, **Claude Desktop**, and **Antigravity IDE** can inspect, create, execute, and heal workflows directly from your local terminal and editor.

## 1. Connecting Your IDE to Quixa MCP

Add the Quixa MCP server to your IDE configuration file (e.g. `claude_desktop_config.json` or `.cursor/mcp.json`):

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "quixa": {
      "command": "quixa-mcp",
      "args": ["--transport", "stdio"],
      "env": {
        "QUIXA_API_URL": "https://api.quixa.io",
        "QUIXA_API_KEY": "qxa_live_your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

## 2. Available MCP Tools Reference

| Tool Name | Parameters | Description |
| :- | :- | :- |
| `quixa_list_flows` | `folderId?`, `search?` | List all visual workflows with logical names, IDs, and last modified timestamps. |
| `quixa_get_flow` | `flowId` | Retrieve full workflow DAG (nodes, wires, step parameters, bindings). |
| `quixa_create_flow` | `name`, `nodes`, `connections` | Programmatically scaffold a complete visual workflow on the canvas. |
| `quixa_run_flow` | `flowId`, `env?` | Trigger flow execution and receive instant step traces and latencies. |
| `quixa_list_suites` | `search?` | List all regression suites, flow counts, and execution modes. |
| `quixa_run_suite` | `suiteId` | Launch an entire regression suite and return pass/fail KPI metrics. |
| `quixa_generate_test_suite` | `endpointId`, `engine` | Trigger AI test scenario generation for an endpoint. |

## 3. Autonomous Developer Workflows

With Quixa MCP connected to your IDE agent:

* *"Run our Payment Smoke Suite and report any failing microservice endpoints."*
* *"Inspect the User Registration flow and add an assertion verifying that the response code is 201."*
* *"Generate Karate BDD feature tests for all endpoints in the Inventory Collection."*

## 4. Intelligent Service Discovery & Flow Roadmap Synthesis

A unique capability of the Quixa MCP Server is **Automated Service Synthesis**:

1. An analyst or QA engineer describes a business requirement in natural language:
   > *"I need an integration flow that provisions a customer with an active savings account, a credit score above 700, and an issued debit card."*
2. The Quixa MCP Server interrogates your enterprise OpenAPI catalog.
3. The server synthesizes an **API Roadmap**:
   * Identifies the required candidate endpoints (`POST /customers`, `POST /accounts`, `GET /credit/score`, `POST /cards/debit`).
   * Proposes the optimal execution order and dependency data bindings (`customerId` $\to$ `accountId` $\to$ `cardOwnerId`).
   * Directly scaffolds the visual workflow onto your canvas for one-click verification.
