# Custom Plugin Authoring (QPlugin)

> Develop, test, and publish custom TypeScript plugins using the integrated Monaco editor and AI Agent scaffolding.

When your organization requires custom hashing algorithms, proprietary protocol transformations, or internal validation rules, you can author custom plugins directly inside Quixa.

## 1. Plugin Architecture & TypeScript Interface

Every Quixa plugin implements a standardized TypeScript interface providing full type safety, async HTTP capabilities, and structured parameter bindings:

```typescript theme={null}
import { IPluginContext, IPluginOutput } from '@quixa/plugin-sdk';
export interface IdentifierGeneratorConfig {
  prefix?: string;
  checksumType?: 'mod10' | 'mod11' | 'crc32';
  length?: number;
}
export async function execute(
  config: IdentifierGeneratorConfig,
  context: IPluginContext
): Promise<IPluginOutput> {
  const prefix = config.prefix || 'ACC';
  const randomBody = Math.floor(Math.random() * 100000000).toString().padStart(8, '0');
  // Calculate algorithm checksum
  const checksum = calculateChecksum(randomBody, config.checksumType || 'mod10');
  const fullIdentifier = `${prefix}-${randomBody}-${checksum}`;
  // Optional: Verify uniqueness against internal directory
  if (context.hasService('DirectoryService')) {
    const isAvailable = await context.services.DirectoryService.checkAvailability(fullIdentifier);
    if (!isAvailable) {
      return execute(config, context); // Retry generation if collision detected
    }
  }
  return {
    value: fullIdentifier,
    metadata: {
      generatedAt: new Date().toISOString(),
      checksumApplied: config.checksumType
    }
  };
}
```

## 2. Integrated Monaco Editor & Testing Sandbox

Quixa embeds a full-featured **Monaco Editor** within the platform:

* **Real-time IntelliSense**: Autocompletion for the Quixa Plugin SDK and standard Node.js APIs.
* **Inline Test Runner**: Execute candidate plugins against mock parameters before publishing.
* **Instant Syntax Diagnostics**: Catch type errors and missing imports prior to submission.

## 3. AI Agent Code Scaffolding

For complex algorithmic structures or extensive payload generation rules, Quixa includes an **AI Plugin Scaffolding Agent**:

* Describe the desired business requirement in natural language:
  > *"Create a TypeScript plugin that generates valid tax identifiers with Modulo-11 checksums and checks uniqueness against our staging API."*
* The AI Agent drafts the complete, type-safe implementation, including input parameter schemas and unit test cases, directly into the Monaco editor for your review.
